Did you know that every year, over 300,000 tonnes of clothing is either sent to landfill or exported out of Australia to another country? The fashion industry is estimated to emit over 1.2 billion tonnes of greenhouse gases annually to keep up with production demands. These are such significant contributors to the global climate crisis, which we want to solve.
By coming along to our Social Snags morning, you can help us find responsible and ethical solutions to textile waste that go beyond recycling, looking at reuse, recirculating or repurposing outcomes. All proceeds from sausage sales will fund our investment towards sustainable schemes for textiles, and further our impact as a dedicated social enterprise.
