Vintage Timber Hat Stand
Character radiates from this tall, slender sentinel. Carved from solid oak with a deep, chocolate patina, the stand serves as a functional relic of early 20th-century design. Its presence is commanding yet humble. Minimalist lines define the central column, leading down to a sturdy, four-point cruciform base reinforced with hand-fitted brackets.
Cast iron hooks offer ample utility. These original fixtures feature a classic double-prong silhouette, perfect for heavy woollen overcoats and felt Akubras alike. While the maker's mark has faded into history, the joinery and hardware suggest an Australian production from the 1920s to 1930s, likely inspired by the mission-style aesthetic. It is a genuine survivor of the federation era.
