Looking back on 2025, community and compassion were theme that rings true for us greatly. Throughout the year, we were fortunate to work all across Melbourne, with organisations big and small, and mobilise together in care of people and our planet.
While this year has also held significant pressures for many social and environmental enterprises we are proudly optimistic, agile and resilient in the face of change and challenge.
Over 2025, we have welcomed 13 new staff into Green Collect’s workplace, all in the early stages of their refugee resettlement in Australia. To share new connections and stories across different life experiences and cultures brings hope, new opportunities and a deeper understanding of the human experience.
Our team worked incredibly hard to collect and process over 245 tonnes of office and household products - keeping 91% of items in circulation! Here's some of what else this has looked like in 2025:
- 4,600 pieces of office furniture saved from landfill
- 27,000 folders torn down and saved from landfill
- 24 tonnes of stationery tested and salvaged for reuse
- 15 local councils partnered with
- Circular economy and social enterprise training for 500+ learners
We are excited for this year to welcome new chapters for us, with exciting projects on the horizon and more opportunities to connect and regroup with our community. We hope you can join us on this journey by following us on social media or signing up for our newsletter.
